Maria L. (de Sousa Aguiar) Raposo, age 95, of Somerset since 1973. Passed away in Fall River April 9, 2008. Widow of Jose C. Raposo. Born in Santo Antonio, Sao Miguel, Azores the daughter of the late Joao de Sousa Aguiar & Maria Teodora Camara. She was a homemaker & a member of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by 2 children: Jose Evaristo Carvalho of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, & Teodora Maria Pereira of Somerset. 2 siblings: John Aguiar of Somerset, & Marcia Aguiar Fitas of Sao Miguel, Azores. 5 Grandchildren. 7 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews. She was also mother of the late Marcia M. Raposo, and sister of the late Antonio Branco & Maria Guilhermina Couto.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 7:30 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling Hours Are Omitted.
