Obituary



Worcester—John P. Kennedy, Jr., 79, died April 6, 2008, in the Odd Fellows Home. He leaves a sister and her husband, Elizabeth and Amos Wasgatt, Jr., of Holden, a sister-in-law, Pat Capobianco of Brookfield, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, James David Kennedy in 1983. He was born in Worcester, son of Delia (Demuth) and John P. Kennedy, Sr. He was a graduate of Leicester High and The College of the Holy Cross (1950). John was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a head teller for Worcester County National Bank and was a member of Green Hill Country Club, Greendale Retired Men’s Club, and St. Joan of Arc Church.

The funeral will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Friday, April 11, with an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Joan of Arc Church. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home prior to the mass from 9:30-10:30. After cremation, burial will be in St. Roch’s Cemetery, Oxford.
