Obituary

Douglas V. Thompson, Sr., 75, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday, April 6, 2008 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. Mr. Thompson was born in Londonderry on December 10, 1932, a son of the late Clifford C. and Jessie E. (Moody) Thompson, and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Thompson was employed as a truck driver for Manchester Sand & Gravel. He was a HAM radio operator, liked computers, going RV-ing, and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Thompson of Londonderry; one son, Douglas V. Thompson, Jr. of Chester, NH; two daughters, Sandra Webster of Derry, and Tami Tessier of Louisville, KY; as well as six grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Assoc. of Massachusetts Chapter, 75 McNeil Way, Ste. 310, Dedham, MA 02026, earmark for Curt & Shonda Schilling ALS Clinic at Lahey Clinic. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are handling the arrangements.
