DRACUT - Camilla T. “Margaret” Eldridge, 84, died April 4, 2008 at Town & Country Nursing Home unexpectedly.
Mrs. Eldridge was born Jan. 30, 1924 in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Pietro and Marietta (Brienza) Travierso, both born in Barile, Potenza, Italy.
She was educated in the Lowell, MA schools. She had been employed by the Dracut School District for 33 1/2 years as a Cook Manager for the School Hot Lunch Program and retired Jan 31, 1991.
A long time resident of Dracut, MA she also enjoyed her summer residence in South Wellfleet, Cape Cod.
Mrs. Eldridge was a communicant of Christ Church United in Dracut, member and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dracut Square and Compass Club, Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 315, Dracut, and a member of Oppela Temple No. 50 Daughters of the Nile, Lynnfield, MA and Puritan Chapter No. 54 Order Eastern Star, Lowell, MA.
“Margaret” was the widow of Arthur C. Eldridge who died in 1999.
She was also predeceased by a daughter, Geraldine Lynn who died in 1950, and a brother, Joseph A. Travierso, who died in 2001, a sister Rosemarie Allen who died in 2005, and a daughter-in-law Sharon Eldridge who died in 2006.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, A. Kenneth and Pamela Eldridge of Grimesland, NC, and Robert P. of Hudson, NH; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Eldridge of Littleton, MA, Eric Eldridge of Tyngsborough, MA, Jennifer Eldridge of Middletown, RI, Lori Eldridge of Tyngsborough, MA, Hollie Kelley of Center Barnstead, NH, Corey Eldridge of Ludlow, MA, and Kristy Eldridge of Concord, NH: twelve great-grandchildren, Connor and Cameron Eldridge, Hailey, Tabitha, Kassidy, and Shannon Kelley, Zachary and Nicholas Eldridge, Merrill Eldridge, Kristen, Courtney, and Emily Wolowicz, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Christ Church United of Dracut, 10 Arlington St. Burial in Richardson Cemetery in Dracut.
