WORCESTER___Maria (Zienko) Ozak, 97, of Worcester, died Saturday April 5, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Stanislaw Ozak died in 1979.
She leaves a son, John S. Ozak of Webster; three daughters, Jadwiga Griffiths of Holden; Theresa Fyrbeck of Worcester and Dorothy Doolittle of Sutton; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and extended family in Poland and Russia. A daughter, Helen Zachariewicz, of Leicester died in 1970. She was born in Nowogrodek, Wilno, Poland a daughter of Adam and Emilia (Kolaczyk) Zienko and lived there before coming to the United States in 1949. Maria was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2008 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday April 7, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester, Ma., 01610.
