Elizabeth (Gaynor) Vevarous, 86, of Knoxville Court, Groton, passed away Tuesday at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.
She born in Westerly on January 28, 1922 the daughter of the late Martin and May Gaynor.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Vevaorus was employed at Display Arts Co., the Mystic Seaport, and was a private home health aide.
She is survived by her son, Edward Vevarous Jr. of Mystic, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Doris Kenyon, and her siblings.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Thursday from 9am-9:45am, followed by a service at 10am. Burial will be at Stonington Cemetery.
