Mrs. Viola E. Jensen, 84, of 286 High Street in Berlin, NH passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. She was born in Berlin, NH on August 25, 1923 the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Corelli) Dinardo and was a lifelong resident of the area. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Converse as a supervisor. Mrs. Jensen was a former member of St. Kieran Church and was active in the community doing volunteer work for the Salvation Army. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her friends.
Members of her family include two sons Robert Jensen and his wife Louise of Biddeford, ME and Rolfe Jensen and his wife Patricia of Shelburne, NH; a daughter Mary Neally and her husband Michael of South Carolina; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Rolf Jensen in 1998.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 PM. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army 15 Cole Street in Berlin, NH 03570.
