FALL RIVER … Alan Sharples, 81, of South Main Street died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 after a brief illness.
He was born in England the son of the late Worthington and Alice Sharples.
He died at St. Anne’s Hospital.
He was a truck driver for various trucking companies and was the owner of the former Sharples Fish and Chips in Fall River.
Mr. Sharples enjoyed fishing. He was an Army veteran of W.W.II.
Survivors include 2 sons: Mark Sharples of Norfolk, NE and Stephen Sharples of Fall River, a daughter Jackie Sears of Fall River, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Donna Sharples.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 10AM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
