Elza M. (Sott) Finn, 96, of North Andover died Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 at Wingate of Andover. She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to the daughter of the late Antonina and Jacob Sott. She attended local schools and graduated from Lawrence High School.
Formerly a member of St. Augustine's Parish of Tower Hill, Elza was an active worker at the parish bingo games. She enjoyed crafts and was an avid knitter. She was a manager at the Bell Shop and Smith's Corset Shop on Essex Street in Lawrence, MA.
In her retirement, she enjoyed travel in the White Mountains and visiting friends in California. She also worked part time at the Greater Lawrence Tech. School Store.
The wife of the late Mr. John P. Finn, she is survived by her son and his wife, Brian and Margaret Finn of North Andover. She also leaves her granddaughter, Christine Finn of Watertown, and her grandson John and his wife Korye and their son Kellan of Redondo Beach, California. She is also survived by her sister Olga Parlin of Salem, NH and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 4th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church in North Andover, MA.
Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
