Mr. Bruce Thomas Fennessey a 22 year resident of Salem, New Hampshire and beloved fiancé of Kathleen A. Stewart, died at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, on March 28, 2008. He was 71 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on March 19, 1937, he was a beloved son of the late Thomas W. and Cora (Ciardi) Fennessey. Mr. Fennessey was a graduate of the University of Lowell and received his Masters Degree in Industrial Administration from Union College in New York. He was the Vice President for Marson Corporation and Marvel Lighting for eighteen years and was the Vice President of Commercial Operations at Work Inc. in Quincy, until his retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, especially a Safari to Africa. He also loved his Friday night card games with his friends. Mr. Fennessey was also an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan. Above all, He was a real family person, enjoying time with his children and grandchildren.
Besides his beloved fiancé, Kathleen, he will be sorely missed by one loving daughter and one son-in-law; Kerry Ann and her husband Larry E. Jones, Jr. of Medford, one son Sean P. Fennessey of N.H., two step-children; Christopher B. Stewart of Saugus and Julie A. Stewart of Salem, N.H., one devoted sister; Alma J. Elkins of Billerica, one brother; Thomas W. Fennessey, Jr. of Needham, two cherished grandchildren; Andrew R. and Samantha J. Jones and his beloved cat; Katie-Malone.
His funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday, March 31, 2008, at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Raphael Church, 514 High Street, Medford, at 10:30 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Sunday, March 30, 2008, from 3 to 7 PM. Interment was private.
