Obituary

SALEM-Emma G. (Cadoret) Toomey, 78 years, of Salem, wife of the late William J. Toomey, died Saturday, February 15, 2003, at the Salem Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (Barbeau) Cadoret. A lifelong resident of Salem, she was a graduate of Mt. Notre Dame Acadamie in Sherbrooke, P.Q., Canada in 1942.

Prior to her retirement in 1983, Mrs Toomey worked at The Bridal Shoppe on Lynde Street, Salem, together with her sisters, Marie and Theresa. Previously, she attended Lahey Clinic Hospital School in Boston, where she trained and later worked as a laboratory technician.

She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed traveling.

Mrs Toomey is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, William J. Toomey of Salem, Timothy A. and Jeanne Toomey of Rowley, one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn E. and Peter Fallon of Wellington, Florida, one grandson, Andrew Toomey of Rowley, one brother, Thomas L. Cadoret of Salem, one sister, Marie Plamondon of Salem a close friend, Susan Loite of Salem and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Theresa Wilner and Pauline Ward.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003, at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem.
