Obituary

NASHUA, NH - Blanche M. (Gacek) Krystyniak, 83, a resident of Nashua, NH and former Dracut resident died Tuesday March 25th at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Krystyniak.

She was born in Lowell on September 12, 1924 and was a daughter of the late Michael and Barbara (Hudzik) Gacek. She a was graduate of St. Stanislaus Grammar School and Lowell High School.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Krystyniak was employed for many years as a group leader by Raytheon Corp. in Lowell.

In her free time she enjoyed line dancing, bingo, playing cards, gambling, and crocheting. She was also a world traveler and had an audience with Pope John Paul II in 2001.

She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church and was a member of the Polish Seniors of Holy Trinity, Dracut Seniors, Pelham Seniors, and the Polish American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary of Lowell.

She is survived by five daughters Joan Shok of Nashua, NH, Jane Ellen of Hawaii, Marianne Eriksson and her husband Don,of Pepperell, Barbara Traverso and her husband Gary of Glencoe, IL, Robin Krystyniak of Derry, NH; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother Edward Gacek of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews

She was also the mother of the late Edward J. Krystyniak, and the sister of the late Sr. Mary Henry, Stella Wojtczak, Joseph Gacek, Francis Gacek, Walter Gacek, John Gacek, and Stanley Gacek.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Friday from 3 until 7 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 9 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Lowell. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell.
