Martha Anderberg, 82, of Fitzgerald died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, March 27, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. David Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Anderberg was born March 5, 1926 in Gwinnett County to the late Thomas E. and Bertha Leverett Stone. She was a 1943 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and moved back to the community in 1974 from Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Anderberg was former admissions clerk at Lakeland General Hospital in Lakeland, FL and retired from the Ben Hill County Department of Family and Children Services as a secretary and computer operator. She was a former Pink Lady at Dorminy Medical Center, a member of Crossview Baptist Church, and a member of the Bernhardt Singers.
Mrs. Anderberg is survived by a son and a daughter, Richard Wayne Kinnett and Sarah Ann Lightbourne, both of Fitzgerald,GA; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Robert Anderberg, a daughter, Diana Marie Kirkland and a brother, Bobby Stone.
