WORCESTER____Joseph W. Zuromsky, 84, of Worcester, died Monday March 24, 2008 in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife, Florence A. (Girouard) Zuromsky died in 1990.
He leaves two daughters, Janet Welch of Princeton and Marcia Flynn of Plymouth; a son, Joseph M. Zuromsky of Newmarket, N.H., three grandsons, Paul J. Welch of Rutland; Jason D. Flynn of Plymouth and Joseph R. Flynn of Plymouth; three great-grandchildren, Mathew, Christopher and Holli, several nephews and nieces and a very close friend, Diane Kacevich of Worcester and her two yorkie’s, Rosie and Bud. He was predeceased by two brothers, Julius and John and three sisters, Lucy Degutis, Anna Ethier and Mary Zalieckas. He was born in Worcester, a son of William and Anastasia (Rameika) Zuromskis and lived here all his life.
Mr. Zuromsky worked 17 years for the Paul Revere Insurance Co., before retiring. He also worked for Morgan Construction Co., and previously was a shipper receiver 33 years for Whitaker Nylon Co. After retiring he worked part time for L & J of New England. Mr. Zuromsky was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in Northern France, the Ardennes and Central Europe. He was a member of St. Casimir Church and graduated from St .Casimir School and Commerce High School. Joseph loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
The funeral will be held on Friday March 28, 2008 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday March 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
