Evelyn Felder, 89 of Londonderry, NH, formerly of Natick, MA, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Felder was born in Chelsea, MA on July 20, 1918, a daughter of the late Harry and Fannie (Blazar) Gurwitz. She was employed for 25 years as an Administration Assistant for Boston University. Mrs. Felder, having been a victim of Alzheimer’s, participated in several Alzheimer’s research studies. She was very proud of participating in the effort to find a cure for this terrible disease. She enjoyed reading, sewing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughter, Frances F. Gehling and her husband Jack D. Gehling of Londonderry, NH; two sons, Joseph Felder and his wife Merle Felder of Peoria, IL, David Felder and his wife Judy Felder of Tallahassee, FL; five grandchildren, Joshua, Jesse, Rebecca, Sam and Aaron. She is also survived by a sister Minnie Gertz and her husband Raymond Gertz of Cranston, RI as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob P. Felder.
A Graveside service was held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 11:45 AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton Street, Sharon, MA 02067. The family will receive visitors following the services Thursday from 3 - 5pm at Jack and Frances Gehling's home, 38 Hemlock St., Londonderry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH is in charge of arrangements.
