Guerino “Skeets” Orlando, 94 of Walpole died March 22 in the Golden Living Center Norwood. He was the husband of the late Anna (Flanagan) Orlando who died in 2001.
Born in Walpole, April 29, 1913, the son of the late Nunzio and Fiorenza (Caleo) Orlando, Mr. Orlando was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mr. Orlando had been an inspector at the former Kendall Mills in Walpole for over 40 years before retiring.
He had also been the custodian for the Herb Lewis Insurance and Real Estate Agency in Walpole for over 20 years.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence Orlando of Foxboro, his daughters, Florence McAlister and Janet Devine, both of Foxboro and June Orlando of Norwood.
He is also survived by his sisters, Thelma Cashorali of Walpole and Eleanor Orlando of Norwood. He was the brother of the late Josephine McCarthy, Daniel, Chester and Anthony and Alfred Orlando.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 26 from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:30.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
