Anthony Freitas, age 88 of Somerset. Widower of Violet (Botelho) Freitas & son of the late Albert & Eliza Freitas. Passed away March 22, 2008. He was born in Fall River & a resident for most of his life. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Somerset, a retired press operator for Sarama Lighting Co. & a U.S. WW II Army Veteran.
He is survived by 3 children: Garry Freitas of Fall River, Stephen Freitas of Fall River & Geraldine Rochon of PA; 2 siblings: Abel Freitas and Eulalia “Lolly” Soares both of Somerset; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Louis Freitas, Cecilia Souza & Philomena Rezendes & a late granddaughter.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 9 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
