Obituary

Port Richey, Florida – Robert A Norman, Lieutenant Retired, U.S. Navy died March 16, 2008 at his family residence. He was 89. .
Born in Haverhill MA. son of Clarence A. and Flora (Desourdie) Norman he was educated in the local schools. Robert was a former Methuen resident for 30 years before moving to Florida.
He had been a Salesman for 30 years with Merrimack Valley Distributors before retiring in 1979.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years retiring with the rank of Lieutenant.
Mr. Norman for many years had been an attendant of the former Holy Trinity Church now closed in Lawrence.
While residing in this area he was an avid golfer and belonged to Haverhill Country Club. In Florida the Lansdowne Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida.

He was the widower of Dorothy M. (Ekstrom) Norman.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Parish with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
