Mrs. Jean G. (Gonsalves) Florence, age 74, died Saturday March 22, 2008 in Burlington, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Born in Woburn Jean was the beloved daughter of Gertrude (Porter) of Woburn and the late John Gonsalves.
Jean was raised and educated in Woburn. Graduating from Woburn High School in 1951. When Jean was about the age of 29, she move to Billerica where she and her husband Kenneth raised there two boys, Wayne and Scott. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed puzzles and reading novels.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband Kenneth F. Florence. Devoted mother of Wayne Florence of Nashua, NH, Scott Florence and his wife Kristen of Chelmsford. Loving daughter of Gertrude (Porter) Gonsalves of Woburn and the late John Gonsalves. Sister of Thomas Gonsalves of Woburn and the late John Gonsalves. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. WOBURN, Tuesday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
