Obituary

BROOKFIELD____Peter A. Klocek, Sr., 92, of 5 Longhorn Trail, died Sunday February 16 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, 20 Worcester Center Blvd., Worcester.

His wife, Pauline (Archambeault) Klocek died in 2000. His first wife, Mary E. (Zajchowski) Klocek died in 1978.He leaves a son, Peter A. Klocek, Jr., of Orlando, Florida; four daughters, Irene M. Curtis of Auburn; Mary Jane Quinn of Estero, Florida; Frances K. Streeter of Williston, Vt., and Diane L. Desplaines of Spencer; two stepsons, David Ingram of North Brookfield; and Peter Ingram of Westfield; seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Northbridge, son of Joseph and Mary (Wojtowicz) Klocek and then lived in Danielson, Ct., and later in Cherry Valley for twenty-five years before moving to Cape Cod for seven years. He has resided in Brookfield since 1978.

Mr. Klocek was a crane operator for U.S. Steel Corp., Worcester, he worked there 36 years before retiring in 1968. He was a member of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association and the Brookfield Senior Citizens. He enjoyed golf, playing pool and fishing.

The funeral will be held on Thursday February 20 with a service at 11:30 a.m. in Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held on Thursday February 20 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brookfield Rescue Squad, 6 Central St., Brookfield, 01506.
