CHERRY VALLEY-Teresa L. (Rozwarski) Pelkey, 95, of Cherry Valley, died Monday, March 17th in her home. Her husband of 56 years Elmer L. Pelkey died in 1990. She leaves her son, Donald L. and his wife, Joan F. Pelkey of Grafton; 2 daughters, Elaine L. Martone of Cherry Valley and Florence L. Pelkey of Old Town, FL; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was born in Worcester and had been employed as a cementer at the former Grosvenor Shoe Company for many years. Mrs. Pelkey was a communicant at St. Joseph’s Church and enjoyed baking and was known for her apple pies. She also enjoyed knitting and donated knitted items to charities and churches.
The funeral is Friday, March 21st, with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are the day of the funeral from 9:00 until 11:00 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
