Obituary

Angelo F. Ferro of Stoneham passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was 76 years of age.

Born in Winchester, Angelo was the loving son of the late Giuseppe and Rose (Frisco) Ferro. Angelo was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.

Angelo was a dedicated custodian for the Stoneham Public Schools for many years. As an Airman First Class, Angelo proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Angelo was the Commander of the DAV Chapter 27 and AMVETS Post 4, and a member of the VFW and American Legion, all in Somerville. He was a loving man who loved to cook and have barbecues. His family was first and foremost in his life.

Angelo was the beloved husband for 48 years of Joan (Taylor) Ferro. He was the devoted father of Patricia Kuschel of Winthrop and Glenn Ferro of Newton, New Hampshire. Angelo was the dear brother of Charles Ferro and his wife Marion of Brookline and Francis Ferro of Winchester. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Service in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Friday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
