Carmella Vaccaro, age 87, died at the Sancta Maria Nursing Facility of Cambridge after a lengthy illness.
Carmella was a seamstress in Boston for many years, retiring in 1980. Carmella belonged to the International Garment Worker´s Union. She was a Somerville resident for the last 50 years.
She is survived by her brother Joseph Vaccaro and his wife Rose M. of Somerville the late Antonio, Salvatore, Mary Vaccaro, and Sadie LaCascia. Loving Aunt of Joseph Vaccaro, MaryAnn Petrillo, Anna Fioretti, Dr. Philip Vaccaro, Elaine Stiehl and the late John LaCascia.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St. Somerville at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 5 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
