Constance C. (Boutiette) Neveu 83, of Reed Ave. died Wednesday in Landmark Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Roland A. Neveu. Mr. and Mrs. Neveu celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary May 21, 2007. Mrs. Neveu was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Paul and Rose Alba (Bachand) Boutiette and was a life long city resident. She graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1942.
Mrs. Neveu worked in the office at Martel Oil Co. and later Consumers Oil Co. for over twenty years retiring in 1990. She was previously employed at Narragansett Knitting Mills for many years. She was a communicant of All Saints Parish where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, and the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also a member of the Franco American Club and a Marie Rivier Associate of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters Rachel Neveu and Elaine Bottachiari both of Woonsocket, Diane Riordan and her husband Wallace of Greenville, and Celeste Neveu of Milford, MA, four grandchildren Nicole Lamoureux, Peter Bottachiari, Anne and Sean Riordan, and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Waldo, Eugene, Marcel, and Raymond Boutiette, Lillian Latraverse, Marguerite Chicoine, and Lucille Marchand.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting Hours are Sunday 4-8 pm.
