Lola E. Encananzie 77 years died March 13, 2008 in Tufts Medical Center, Boston after a brief illness. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island a daughter of the late John and Constance (Silva) Encananzie. She was raised in Mansfield and Onset and was a graduate of Wareham High School. When her children were grown she attended and graduated from Wheelock College with a degree in early education. She had been a teacher at the Orchard Park and St. John-St. James Head Start Programs in West Roxbury for over 40 years. Lola enjoyed cooking, reading, solving crossword puzzles, walking and traveling.
She was the mother of Michael Encananzie of Brockton; Jackie (Encananzie) Maragh of Canton and the sister of Beverly Senna and Eugenia Cabrera both of Brockton; Genievive Faria of Stoughton; Kathleen Flores of Florida; John Encananzie, Jr. of Ohio; Patricia Encananzie of Boston and the late Caroline Silva and Pauline Encananzie. She also leaves seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte123) Brockton Wednesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church at 9am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8pm.
