Sue Ellen Amato, 52, of Somerville, MA, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008 in the Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, MA following a brief illness. Ms. Amato was born in Somerville, MA on June 11, 1955, a daughter of Jean Marie (Wright) Amato and the late Salvatore Amato. She was a resident of Somerville for over 20 years, formerly living in Cambridge, MA.
In addition to her mother of Chester, NH; she is survived by her son, John M. Amato of Revere, MA; one grandson Andre; four brothers, Salvatore Amato of Saugus, MA, Anthony Amato of Chester, Michael Amato of Dedham, MA, and David Amato of Billerica, MA; two sisters, Jeannette Mills of Arlington, MA, and Nancy Mahoney of Billerica, MA. She is also survived by a brother-in-law; several sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and dear cousins, Virginia Morais and MaryLou Thompson and their families of Somerville, MA.
Funeral services will be private. The burial will be in the Great Hill Cemetery in Chester in the spring. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH is handling the arrangements.
