Obituary

Elizabeth F. (McGoldrick) Altimas, 83 years of Brockton died March 11, 2008 at the Braemoor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Altimas. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Lillian (Peterson) McGoldrick. Mrs. Altimas has been a resident of Brockton since 1962. Before her marriage she was an operator with the New England Telephone Company and before her retirement she was a teacher at LaBelle Pre-School in Brockton. Mrs. Altimas was a longtime communicant of St. Nicholas Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Most of all she enjoyed life and lived it to it’s fullest.

She is survived by her three sons, Stephen E. and his wife Terryll of Sandwich, Brian J. and his wife Roberta of Brockton and John F. Altimas, seven grandchildren, Arielle, Alexandria, Aimee, Adam, Kelsey, Alyssa and Gregory, a brother, Donald McGoldrick of Lowell and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert and William McGoldrick, Florence Ravanis and Margaret Duffy. Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Debbie Donoghue and the entire staff at Braemoor for their kindness and excellent care.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church at 9am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30 am.
