Margaret (Maffeo) Venezia, 86, of Medford, died Wednesday at Winchester Nursing Center. A long-time Medford resident, Margaret was born and raised in the North End, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Theresa (Simonelli) Maffeo. A dedicated wife and mother, Margaret enjoyed the company of her family and friends.
The wife of the late Ignazio Venezia, she was the mother of Lewis Venezia and his wife Charlotte of Stoneham, and Robert Venezia of Colorado. She was the grandmother of
Lisa Drew and her husband Michael of Winchester and Lewis Venezia of Melrose. She was the great-grandmother of Megan and Michael Drew, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford. Friends and family may visit Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Division of Development, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
