Marlboro, MA
John F. Osterhoudt-61, of Marlboro, died Tuesday, March 11, at UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 6 years, Tina Lurz-Osterhoudt of Marlboro.
He was born in Kingston, NY, son of the late Francis and Violet (Fischang) Osterhoudt.
He graduated from Kingston, H.S and later attended Saint Lawrence College for 2 years. He resided in White Plains, NY before moving to Marlboro in 2002. He was a Technical Instructor for IBM for 32 years, traveling to many oversea destinations until he retired. He also was employed as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS in Hudson and Deli Clerk at Stop & Shop in Hudson most recently. He was a member of the First Parish Church in Berlin.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Derek Osterhoudt and his wife Lindsay of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Marianne Crist and her husband James of Woodstock, NY; his brother and sisters in law, Teddy and Tammy Lurz, both of Hudson and Georgia Supernor of Orange and a grandson, Chandler Osterhoudt. He is also survived by his first wife and mother to his children, Diane Osterhoudt of Raleigh, NC; his nieces and nephews, Brianna Lurz-Caranci, Tara and Tianna Lurz and Tre Robbins, all of Hudson and many other nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son, Sean Osterhoudt in 2004.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 14, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Parish Church, 24 Central Street, Berlin, MA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of; Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
