WEBSTER- Bernard J. “Ben” Kozik, 83, of 45 Whitcomb Street, died Monday, March 10, in Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center.
He leaves a godchild, Karen Lejman of Rochester, NY; his caregiver, Vallorie Sharpe of Webster; and a close friend, Jayne Antos of Dudley. His sister, Jane J. Kozik, died in 2003.
He was born in Webster, son of Joseph and Walerya (Paciora) Kozik and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1942.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Kozik was a customer service agent for US Airways for 30 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica.
The funeral will be held Friday, March 14, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. The Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will provide the military honors. A calling period will be from 8:45 to 9:30 AM Friday, March 14, at the funeral home.
