Lillian Ileene Tucker, 87, of Tifton died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Sam Rogers and Dr. W. Ches Smith, III will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Tucker was born on April 26, 1920 in Tift County and was the daughter of Warren Lott Tucker and Eva Kirkland Tucker, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one brother. She was retired as a legal secretary for R. D. Smith; retired administrative assistant at J. P. Stevens and worked at the Tift County Clerk's Office after retirement. She was a member of Tifton's First Baptist Church.
Ms. Tucker is survived by one brother, Bill Tucker of Tifton; two sisters, Rose Tucker of Tifton and Sara Ann Ponder of Omega; and several nieces and nephews.
