Anthony J. Fiore, 84 of Medford, died Saturday following a lengthy illness in Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.
Born in Boston, son of the late Sabato and Rosina (Romano) Fiore, he was educated in local schools. Mr. Fiore was a urinalysis technician, employed by Suffolk Downs Race Track to check for foreign substances in the bloodstream of race horses. He enjoyed playing cards and was a big fan of Mass. Lottery Games.
Mr. Fiore was the former husband of the late Olga Fiore and Jennie Fiore. Father of Steven Fiore of Arlington and Joseph Fiore of Boston’s North End. Step father of Jim Spinali of Medford, Ann Marie DiLorenzo of Medford and Vito Spinali of AZ. Grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother of Angela Berggren of Marshfield, Mafalda Valet of FL., Albert Fiore of the North End, Samuel Fiore of ME. , and the late Nicalina Schoppmeyer and John Fiore.
