WORCESTER-Anne-Marie (Am) O’Shea, 44, of Worcester passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous 2 year battle with melanoma.
She leaves her parents, Stephen A. and Mary E. (Robinson) O’Shea of Worcester; her brother, Stephen T. O’Shea and his wife, Linda of Auburn; five sisters, Maureen and her husband, David Silenzi of Northboro, Christine O’Shea of Worcester, Karen and her husband, Stephen Corso of Worcester, Eileen and her husband, Larry DeMartino of N. Oxford and Kathleen and her husband, Kurt Rabbett of Worcester. She also leaves two uncles, Francis J. O’Shea and his wife, Anne of Monson and Rev. James B. O’Shea of Worcester; her aunt, Sr. Maureen Robinson O.P. (Aunt Phil) of Lima, Peru; ten nieces and nephews, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Shaughn, Sarah, Brianna, Stephen, Keelia, Daniel, Molly and Megan; her cousins, Bridget and her husband, Charles Bates and their son, Liam of Chicopee and many more in Ireland; her godparents, Maureen and Andrew Friedrich of Clinton; treasured friends and caregivers, Tracey LeBlanc and Cynthia Wnukowski; and her group of “A List” friends along with countless others. She also leaves her beloved dog Riley. She was predeceased by her grandparents Anne and Bennett O’Shea and Sarah and Thomas Robinson and her dogs Soma and Amos.
Anne-Marie was born in Worcester and graduated from St. Stephen Elementary School, Holy Name High School, Worcester State College, Quinsigamond Community College School of Radiological Technology and was in the first class to graduate from the UMass School of Radiation Therapy. Anne Marie worked for 29 years at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, the last 18 years as a Radiation Therapist, providing loving and compassionate care to her patients.
Anne-Marie was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Church and was a die hard New York Yankees fan and an avid photographer. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and was proud of her Irish heritage. She was generous woman with a heart of gold.
Anne-Marie’s Funeral will be Wednesday, March 12 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by her uncle Rev. James B. O’Shea at 10:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton St. Worcester. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
