In Taunton, March 7, 2008 Edwin C. died after a brief illness at the age of 92. He was the husband of the late Louise (Crowley) Taylor. Edwin resided on Clinton St. and has lived in Taunton his entire life. He was born in Taunton to the late Walter & Frances (Alpin) Taylor. Educated in Taunton, Edwin then served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. Edwin received many medals including the Purple Heart. After his discharge Edwin worked for the N.Y., New Haven & Hartford Railroad and later for the Raytheon Co. as a sheet metal worker until his retirement. Edwin enjoyed model trains, playing cribbage, golfing and summers at his place on Martha’s Vineyard. Edwin was the last surviving of eight siblings. He is survived by his dear friends Monica Reynolds of Taunton and Patricia Grethan of Lakeland FL. Edwin will have a graveside service on Weds., March 12th at 12pm. in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are being handled by the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
