Pierina Federico, of Medford, formerly of the North End, Thursday at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 76.
Pierina was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, the daughter of the late Angelo and the late Maria (Umbertida) Federico. She came with her family to the United States in 1971 and settled in the North End. A Medford resident since 1982, Pierina worked at the former Schraffts Candy until her retirement. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed the company of her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of Angelo Federico. She was a devoted mother to Carmine Federico and his wife Melissa of Medfield, Guy Federico and his wife Maria of Medford, Sergio Federico and his wife Margherita of Malden. She was a loving grandmother to Giancarlo, April, Alessia, Angelo, Eva, Josephine, Gianni and Dante. She was the dear sister of Elda DelMonaco, Domenica Federico and Ferdinando Federico all of Italy.
Family and friends may visit Sunday from 4 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Her funeral procession will gather at the funeral home, Monday at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
