Obituary

Frederick Johnson, Of Woburn, age 67, died suddenly March 4, 2008 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. Born in Woburn he was the son of the late Margery (Howe) & Herbert Johnson.

Fred was a Woburn High School graduate, class of 1958, also attending St. Michael’s College. He was a member of the Towanda Club of Woburn. He recently moved back to Woburn after spending some years in Medford. Fred shared seventeen years with his loving companion Michaeline MacDonald. They enjoyed fine dining together and often traveled to Vermont and Maine.

Fred’s entrepreneurial skills allowed him to run City Cab of Woburn for several years. He was also known for serving the best hot dogs in town, from the Weiner Wagon at Horn Pond in Woburn during the warmer months of the year. Fred was raised in Woburn and always kept Woburn people close to his heart.

In addition to his parents and loving Companion Michaeline MacDonald , Fred his survived by her children Paul MacDonald M.D. of Winchester and Elizabeth MacDonald of Boston. Brother of William “Lefty” Johnson of Woburn, Jill Curran and her husband Dr. Kenneth of Gloucester, Judy Griffin and her husband Daniel of Wisconsin, and the late Richard Johnson. Also survived by several nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 5 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
