WORCESTER__Sophie B. (Rodowicz) Kasper, 93, of Worcester died Thursday March 6, 2008 in her home. Her husband, John P. Kasper died in 1988.
She leaves a son, Paul Kasper of Worcester; two brothers, Dr. Thaddeus S. Rodowicz and his wife Arlene of Chicopee; and Henry A. Rodowicz and his wife, Theresa of Auburn; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Her sister, Celia Jaros died in 2004. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Stanley B. and Julia C. (Sadowski) Rodowicz and lived here all her life.
Sophie worked at Pfeifer Shoe Co., for several years and later at Hodes Market where she was Produce Manager until she retired. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, the Polish Women’s Club, the American Association of Retired Persons and the Salvation Army.
The funeral will be held on Saturday March 8 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Entombment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Mausoleum. A calling hour in the funeral home is Saturday March 8, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass.
