Obituary

Kaliope (Floudaras) Kyriakou, 89, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Braemoor Nursing and Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late George K. Kyriakou. Born in Manchester, NH, she was raised and educated in Boston. She was a resident of Brookline since 1954. Mrs. Kyriakou worked as a Clerk at Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Boston for over 25 years, retiring over 25 years ago. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Boston. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and as a young woman, she enjoyed dancing.

She is survived by her two sons: Cary G. Kyriakou of Brockton and Christopher G. Kyriakou of Brookline. She was the sister of James Floudaras of Belmont, Lena Hollis of Melrose, Grace Yanakopoulos of Malden and the late George Floudaras, Alexander Floudaras and John Floudaras. She was the grandmother of Karen McKenney, Catherine Lombardo, Annie Kyriakou and Caroline Kyriakou. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held Friday Morning from 9:30-10:30 in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton followed by a Funeral Service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11 AM.
