In East Taunton, March 4, 2008 John “Joe” Joyce died at his home on Stevens Street in East Taunton at the age of 76. Born in Boston, John was the son of the late Peter and Mary (McDonnell) Joyce. John was educated at Boston English High School and attended Boston Teachers College, after college John enlisted into the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War. John was a Retired Postal Worker in the City of Boston for 36 Years and was an avid photographer for the Tri County Saints and many other sports leagues. John was the husband of Dianne E. (Fitzemeyer) Joyce of East Taunton. Father of Dianne Kaemmerer of Taunton, Denise Moitoso and her husband Dennis of Taunton, Donna DiNinno and her husband David of Berkley and John P. Joyce and his wife Tammy of Taunton. Grandfather of Shannon, David and Stephanie DiNinno all of Berkley, Eric Beaudry, Jillian, John and Brady Joyce all of Taunton and the late Cpl. Travis Kaemmerer. Brother of Sr. Frances Joyce and Sr. Therese Joyce of Saint Elizabeth Mother House in Allegany, NY, Patricia Boutilier of Fl., Margaret Joyce of Dorchester and James Joyce of Holbrook. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton on Saturday, March 8th at 11 am. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 12 Noon. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
