Methuen, Ma. – Walter Nestor, 84, died Sunday March 2, 2008 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital. Born in Lawrence June 3, 1923 Mr. Nestor was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Podkowa) Nestor. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, and during World War II served his country in the United States Army with the rank of Tech 5 prior to being honorably discharged at wars end.
Walter was a 30 year employee with Bolta Products/a division of General Tire as a Technician before his retirement.
He was the widower of Alice M. (Buckley) Nestor, and is survived by his son Peter W. Nestor of Las Vegas, Nevada, one grandchild Stacey A. and her husband David Lucas of Washington, D.C. and two greatgrandchildren; Zachery and Lily also of Washington, D.C.
Funeral Services will take place on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
