Laura (Perry) Travassos, age 86 of Fall River. Wife of Gil Travassos. Daughter of the late Alfred & Maria (Do Rocha) Perry. Passed away Feb. 29, 2008. She was a lifelong Fall River resident; a member of I.L.G.W.U. & a retired sewing machine operator in the local needle industry.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Reginald & Ronald Travassos & l sister: Mary Pereira Medeiros all of Fall River; 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. She was sister of the late Duarte Perry. A special thank you to the Staff at Crawford Skilled Nursing Center.
Her funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Monday at 10 A.M. Interment in Cedar Knoll Cemetery, Taunton. Calling hours Sunday 2-5 P.M.
