Anderson, Joan M. (McCarron), age 63, February 27, surrounded her family after a courageous battle with cancer, of Medford, formerly of Dorchester and Jamaica Plain.
Beloved wife of 40 years to Gilbert E. Anderson, devoted mother of Eric and his wife Colleen Anderson of Dracut, Scott and his wife Julie-Ann Anderson of Medford, Lynne and her husband Jason Bardo of Townsend, Karen Anderson of Medford, Megan and her husband Michael Silvestro, Jr. of Dracut and Brian Anderson of Medford. Cherished grandmother of Kayley, Matt and Caroline Anderson of Medford, Michael, Anthony, Dominic and Joseph Silvestro of Dracut, Sean and Brigid Anderson of Medford, Grace Anderson of Dracut and the late Ryan Anderson. Daughter of the late William and Anna (Fulton) McCarron. Dear sister of William McCarron and his wife Janet of Franklin, James McCarron and his wife Charlotte of Hingham and the late Kenneth McCarron. Dear sister-in-law of Jean and her husband Thomas Buckley of Medford and William Anderson of Medford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many cherished cousins and devoted friends. Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were Sunday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
