Douglas M. Jensen, a longtime resident of Manchester, NH, formerly of Auburn, NH died Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Mr. Jensen was born in Malden, MA a son of the late Holgar and Bertha (Beckford) Jensen. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH, class of 1938. Mr. Jensen served in the Army National Guard and also with the Army Air Corps during WWII. He later was employed by the civil service as an aircraft and engine mechanic for the US Air Force, based out of Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Manchester, NH and a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #61 F & AM of Manchester.
He is survived by his brother, William Jensen of Abilene, TX, and also by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes M. (Caron) Jensen in 2004.
Calling hours were held from 2-4pm Sunday, March 2, 2008 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry with a funeral service that followed at 4:00pm.
