In Taunton, February 26, 2008 at the age of 97 Pauline M. (Caswell) Cleary wife of the late former mayor of the City of Taunton Bernard Cleary. Born in Riverside, RI, Pauline was the daughter of the late William and Ida Caswell. Educated in Riverside Schools she graduated from Morton Hospital Nursing School also Bristol Plymouth Nursing Program and became a registered nurse at Morton Hospital for twenty years and was a Ombudsman for the state on Mass for several local nursing homes. Pauline belonged to the Morton Hospital Auxiliary, Morton Hospital Catholic Nurses, Coyle Mothers and was President for the residents Council at Marion Manor Nursing Home in Taunton. Pauline was the mother of James C. Cleary and his wife Kathleen of Plymouth and Patricia Kelly and her husband Joseph of Bridgewater. Grandmother of Kevin Kelly of Franklin, Brian Kelly of Brockton, Bridget Kelly of Bridgewater, James Cleary of South Carolina, Thomas Cleary of NY, Bernard Cleary of Maryland. Jane Aly of Fla and Great Grandmother of Eight Grandchildren. Sister in-law of Mary Bisio and family of Raynham. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday February 29th from 5-7 pm. Funeral Mass and Interment will be private.
