Dominic J. Abruzzese Passed away at the South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Rockland on Tuesday February 26, 2008 at the age of 92. He was the husband of the late Ruth M. (Munter) Abruzzese. Mr. Abruzzese is survived by 3 daughters; Joyce Laing of S. Portland, ME, Carol Keogh of Cummaquid, MA and Mary Abruzzese of Hingham, 1 sister, Marie Keegan of Rockland and 1 brother Louis Abruzzese of Weymouth. He is predeceased by 1 sister Matilda DiBona of Weymouth. Dominic is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. He was a life long resident of Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1933. Mr. Abruzzese was the owner of Scully and Son Barber Shop in Jackson Square, E. Weymouth for 50 years before retiring in 1977. Dom was an avid fisherman and golfer but his greatest love was his family especially his grandchildren. He had a special knack with children. Dominic belonged to the Rockland Country Club, the South Shore Country Club in Hingham and was a member of the Sons of Italy in Weymouth. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Saturday March 1 at 12 Noon, the funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad St. N. Weymouth at 1 P.M and visiting hours on Friday 4to8 P.M.
