Obituary

TYNGSBORO - Mary E. (Gasper) Keefe, 53, was a loving mother and devoted wife, and a resident of Tyngsboro. After a long battle with illness, she died unexpectedly at home, although peacefully, on Monday February 25th, 2008. She was the loving wife of Francis X. Keefe, with whom she was married for 32 years.

She was born in Cambridge, on December 19, 1954, a daughter of Joseph L. Gasper of Lowell and the late Marie A. (Carroll) Gasper. Mary attended the Immaculate Conception School and Lowell High School.

Mrs. Keefe was employed by the Mitre Company, where she worked as a senior technician until she devoted her time to her family for several years. Most recently, she was employed by National Amusements, Showcase Cinema where she did administrative work.

She loved spending time with family on many vacations to York Beach, ME and Cape Cod. Mrs. Keefe was an avid reader and Boston Red Sox fan. She spent many years enjoying hobbies like crafts, including ceramics, crocheting, and bowling. Mary loved spending time with her friends at the Pines Restaurant in Tyngsboro.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Patrick J. Keefe of Tyngsboro; three daughters, BethAnn Keefe of Tyngsboro, Rebecca M. Keefe of Tyngsboro, and Sharon R. Keefe of Lowell; her step-son, Francis "Scott" Keefe of Dover, NH; three brothers, Joseph Gasper and his wife Sandra of Hudson, NH, Michael Gasper and his wife Patricia of Dracut, and Stephen Gasper and his wife Kristen of Townsend; two sisters, Carol Rocha and her husband Robert of Lowell and Francine Gasper of Lowell; three grandchildren, Scotty Keefe of Dover, NH, Shawn Keefe of Dracut and Helen Keefe of Arizona; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including her special friend, Carol Duchesne of Tyngsboro.

She was the sister of the late Pamela Giardina and the late JoAnn Gasper, and was the mother-in-law of the late Nadine (Redman) Keefe.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday at 9:00 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Interment in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery in Tyngsboro.
