Obituary

PAXTON-James J. Dillon, 90, formerly of Paxton, died Tuesday, February 26th in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. His wife of 48 years died in 1999. His son David Dillon died in 1988. Mr. Dillon leaves a brother John Dillon of Hampton, NH.

He was born in Worcester the son of Michael and Nellie (Murphy) Dillon, and served during World War II with the Coast Guard in Greenland. Mr. Dillon had been an iron worker for 31 years, retiring in 1977 from Iron Workers Local 57. He was a former member of St. Columba’s Parish, the Worcester Racquet Club and was an avid golfer.

A calling hour will be held Friday, February 29th from 4:00 until 5:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a service at 5:00 PM. Burial is Saturday, March 1st at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Cemetery.
