Obituary

Lloyd J. Amerault, 96 years of Brockton died Monday February 25, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. He was the husband for 58 years of the late Florence H. (McDonough) Amerault. He was born and raised in Boston, a son of the late Robert and Rose (Surette) Amerault. During WW II he served with the Medical Corps in the US Army. Following his discharge he was a foreman at General Seafoods on the Boston Fish Pier. In 1976 he retired as a facility manager at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, among his accomplishments he was a machinist, fine woodworker, musician, watchmaker and all around handyman. He enjoyed reading, music, dancing and fine dining out.

He is survived by a daughter and three sons, Jacqui Pierce of Florida, Thomas W. Amerault and his wife Catherine of Brockton and Brian T. Amerault and his wife Pam of Quincy and Barry J. Amerault and his wife Margaret of Brockton, grandfather of Lori, Leah, Aimee, Beth-Ann, Eric, Dennis and William Amerault, Thomas, William and Bryan Whittemore and the late Deborah Whittemore. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Brother of the late Robert, Edward, William, Leslie, George and Linda Amerault.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11am. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm.
