Obituary

Mrs. Mary N.(Souza)Talbot, age 60, of Tyngsboro, formerly of Fall River, died unexpectedly on Feb. 25, 2008, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of Leo E. Talbot. She was born in Fall River on Dec. 12, 1947, beloved daughter of Antone & Natalie (Medeiros) Souza of Fall River.

She was a graduate of Bridgewater State with a BS in Education. She also attended Bristol Community College in Fall River where she received her Nursing Degree. She was a Registered Nurse working at Edith Nourse Rogers VA Hospital in Bedford. Much of her spare time was spent in making herself a better, more knowledgeable nurse. Her career at the VA spanned almost thirty years and she was one of the most loved and respected nurses at the Bedford VA. Mary enjoyed traveling, watching movies, knitting and crocheting, cooking, reading, and spending time with family. She was also very fond of animals, especially her pets Kia & Dusty. She was an active communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford and she was a participant in the Wednesday Evening Rosary Group.

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters: Sarah Talbot of Lowell & Natalie Talbot of Tyngsboro; two sisters: Patricia Pochon of Fall River & Deborah Desmarais of Swansea; several nieces, nephews, & cousins.

Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 9:30 A.M. with a funeral mass in St. Michael Church, Essex St., Fall River, MA at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Mass.
