Private graveside memorial services for Franklin A. Jennings, age 94, of Macon will be held Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Jennings died Tuesday in Eastview Nursing Home in Macon following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Jennings was born in Doerun, Georgia. He spent 50 years in banking services with the F.D.I.C. and later worked with the Jasper Banking Co. for ten years. During World War II, Mr. Jennings served in the U.S. Army Air Force Quartermaster Corp serving most of the war in Iran. He was a member of the Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church in Macon.
Mr. Jennings is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Whatley Jennings, of Macon. Also surviving is his niece, Kaye Holland, Lilburn, Ga. and five nephews, Harold Jennings, Perry, Ga., Howard Jennings, Cummings, Ga., Raymond Hobby, Sugar Valley, Ga., William Davis, Norfolk, Virginia, and Franklin Davis, Weed, California.
There will be no visitation.
